Competition disciplines

31^st August - Wednesday

The Municipal Sports Hall Slavia („SLAVIA“ MSH)
Arrival and registration of copetitors from 19 counties of Europe (withouth public).

1^st September - Thursday

MSH SLAVIA
Preparation day for competitors (withouth public).

2^nd September – Friday

MSH SLAVIA – 1^st day of competition 10:00 – 19:00 entry for public (to auditorium only)
10:00 - 1^st Contest Task – „Symphony in Blooms” 120 minutes – (large hall of „SLAVIA“ MSH)
Competitors´ flower arrangement will be inspired by the work of Antonín Dvořák, one of the most famous Czech composers of all times. Flower arrangement will be made for the occasion of 170th anniversary of Anotnín Dvořák´s birth (8^th September 1841) and should reflect his work (symphonic poems, cantatas or operas).

13:30 – 2^nd Contest Task „The Youngest City“ 90 minutes – (small hall of „SLAVIA“ MSH)
The Competitors will focus on making flower table decoration which should represent the Czech youngest town in the Czech Republic. An integral part of the task is an application of Gerbera flower as a symbol of the town of Havířov.

17:30 - 3^rd Contest Task „Bridal bouquet in colors of the EC 2011 logo” 60 minutes – (large hall of „SLAVIA“ MSH)

Permitted colors and their tones for flowers and greenery are yelow, orange, red and green.

3^rd September - Saturday

The Republic square – 2^nd day of competition (entry for public, free entry)
10:15 – 4^th Contest Task „From Coal to Blooms” 45 minutes
The competitor will create an arrangement, which is intended to decorate the city centre, making use of the supplied potted plants. The arrangement is to be exhibited outdoors and thus must withstand all possible weather circumstances.

18:00 – EVENING GALA EVENT – Peter Bezruč Comunity Center – ticket 50 Euro/1250 Kč
18:30 – 5^th Contest Task “Hat for Eliza Doolittle” (30 minutes)
The competitor will design and create a hat decoration for the main character of the My Fair Lady musical, Lisa Doolittle, on the occasion of a horse racing event in Ascot.

19:20 – 6^th Contest Task “Surprise” (50 minutes)

The sixth and the last task for competitors of European competition for florists will hold the name Surprise till the end. The discipline and the materials will be specified and provided at its beginning.

MSH SLAVIA – Exhibition day
10:00 – 20:00 the Exhibition of competition arrangements of the five cntest tasks created for Europa Cup 2011

Technical closing down of European Championchip for florists Europa Cup 2011 (without public)
